Who We Are
Our Products
At Copper Ridge Farm, we offer a variety of lavender products. In the 2024 season we are offering dried lavender bouquets, sachets, culinary lavender, hydrosol, essential oils, roller balls & bath salts. We take pride in providing hand harvested & homemade quality products to our customers.
Different lavender varieties are used for different purposes. We have a total of 13 different varieties.
Lavendula Angustifolia: Folgate, Buena Vista, English Lady, English Vraie, Hidcote, Mailette, Royal Velvet, Pink Breeze & Munstead.
Lavendula X-Intermedia: Phenomenal, Super, Grosso, Provence.
Our Expertise
Our family is a hard-working bunch, Chris is a finishing carpenter- jack of all trades- true farmer. He can figure out anything and rig it up. Jenny has a green thumb, loves gardening and is a registered holistic nutritionist & red seal hairstylist. Jenny has recently taken a course in the introduction of herbs, providing more specific knowledge in lavender uses. During the week at our full time jobs, Chris is a finishing carpenter at Copper Ridge Construction & Jenny is the owner/ stylist at O’Haira’s The Salon in Vernon. Our children Desiree & Damian help immensely on the farm too, with chores and paid jobs like weeding & harvesting the lavender field.
Our History
Our journey began in 2021, we (Chris & Jenny) sold our house in the city and started a hobby farm in Armstrong, BC. There was a small portion of logged area on the property that we wanted to restore and use as farm land. We tested the soil to see what might grow well there. Turns out, lavender was the perfect fit. We first planted 500 ’Phenomenal’ variety of lavendula x-intermedia in the spring of 2022 and 1700 English varieties of ‘Folgate, Royal Velvet, Buena Vista‘ lavendula angustifolia in the fall. Our commitment to living in harmony with Nature, while having quality products is what we strive to provide to our customers.
